Getting vaccinated against COVID-19 with all doses for which you are eligible is the number one action you can take to ensure you have the highest levels of immunity against the virus. Citizens and residents of Qatar are eligible for up to four doses of the COVID-19 vaccine as per the below criteria.
COVID-19 eligibility:

Primary series (first and second doses):
Anyone 5 years of age and over

Booster (third) dose:
Anyone aged 12 years and above who had their second dose more than six months ago is eligible for a booster dose.
- Fourth dose:
A fourth vaccine dose is also available for the following groups:
- Individuals 50 years of age and older
- Those with chronic diseases that increase their risk for severe COVID-19 infection, regardless of their age.
- Healthcare staff.
- The fourth dose is offered to these individuals after four months from the date of their booster dose (third dose) or COVID-19 infection.
Individuals who do not receive the booster dose, or significantly delay receiving it, will be less protected and more at risk of severe COVID-19 infection and hospitalization. With more than 7 million vaccine doses administered in Qatar, and 12 billion doses of COVID vaccines administered globally, they have proved to be highly effective and very safe.
