Citizens and residents are advised to exercise caution when traveling to international destinations taking into account their vaccination status and the extent to which COVID-19 is spreading in the country of arrival.

The Ministry of Public Health has announced that with effect from 1st April 2023, travelers coming to Qatar from China, Hong Kong and Macau will no longer require a negative pre-travel COVID-19 PCR test result.

The Ministry of Public Health encourages the community to safeguard its health and monitor local and international updates on COVID-19 to stay informed about the latest measures.
The Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) has announced a new travel requirement for all travelers (Qatar citizens, residents and visitors) entering Qatar who are coming from China. The Ministry stated that the policy update is a temporary measure that has been made to safeguard the passengers coming to Qatar and the community against the virus, with China currently experiencing widespread circulation of COVID-19 within its population.

Please note that transit passengers from China are required to bring a negative COVID-19 PCR test only if they leave the airport and enter Qatar.

The same precautionary measures will be applied on passengers coming from Hong Kong.
